Branson

We are here in Branson. We got here on Monday afternoon and were able to check in early. We can't get access to the computer in our room so we come up to the activities center and get on our computer.

Yesterday we went to Eureka Springs. It is a neat little town and has very high taxes. The taxes are about 12 cents on the dollar because it is a resort town. We went to an interesting house yesterday at Eureka Springs. The woman of the house had collected rocks since she was a little girl. She was always collecting rocks and after she was married and had three children she had wanted to build the house of her dreams. It was during World War II and one day her husband went to work and she and the kids moved all their stuff into the chicken house and tore down the house. Her husband had wanted to wait until after the war. She wanted lots of glass in the house and glass was being rationed. When her husband came in that evening and found the house torn down he was more concerned they hadn't cut off the electricity. The rebuilt the house that she wanted but had to cover the windows with something else until after the war. She did get the house of her choice. She also made lots of things outside with rocks. It was amazing. Maybe when I get home I can post some pictures. Anyhow we enjoyed our trip yesterday.

We leave Saturday and plan to drive to Franklin, Tennessee where we will spend the night and worship in Franklin on Sunday. Then we will drive home Sunday afternoon.

I hope everyone will have a good week and weekend. We plan to go to a few shows this week. We went to see the Goldwing Express on Monday night. They are a bluegrass group and my husband loves bluegrass.
